For over 15 years we have been providing training courses at Westpoint Forge for absolute beginners,
the hobbyist , the professionals,
or those wanting to take it up as a career
We can supply a gift card for that special person who you know may like to have the experience of forging metal
Our scheduled courses consist of;
A Taster day for those who have always wanted to have the experience of
forging hot metal. These days are not fixed, but negotiable due to the individuals circumstances at a mutually convenient date.

A Three day Intensive course in
Traditional Basic Blacksmiths' Skills.
This course covers all the skills necessary to make many items from simple hooks to brackets and beyond.
A one day Toolmaking Course
Introducing the students to
basic metallurgy, heat treating skills and making some useful tools
Other courses can be arranged to suit individuals or groups and their
specific needs outside of the stated course dates..
Repousse on steel or copper
